Second International Lied-Competition "Bolko von Hochberg"

The 2. International Lied-Competition "Bolko von Hochberg" will take place between May 26-31, 2024 in Görlitz-Zgorzelec in Germany.
Eligible are professional singers accompanied by their pianists of any nationality between the ages of 20 and 40 for the singers and from 20 years for the pianists.
Besides the prizes of €6,000, €4,000, €2,000 and a special prize for the best piano accompaniment: €1,000, concerts and recordings are planed for the winners or finalists.
The 2024 edition of the Lied-Competition "Bolko von Hochberg" has the topic "Orpheus, spirit of the Renaissance" and is dedicated to the Masters of European poetry, such as Francesco Petrarca, William Shakespeare, Lope de Vega or Pietro Metastasio, as well to the song of the 19th and 20th centuries, that is inspired from the Renaissance ideal.
The participants have to create a program of 40 minutes from a given repertory.
