Mediterranean Opera Studio & Festival is the premiere summer opera programme for opera singers, young orchestra musicians, aspiring conductors and directors. Faculty includes staff from the major opera houses of the world (ROH Covent Garden, Metropolitan Opera NYC, Vienna Staatsoper, Frankfurt Oper, Glyndebourne etc.).
MOSF provides a unique opportunity to tackle important operatic works under the guidance of renown musicians, like conductor Kamal Khan, seen worldwide on Placido Domingo's Operalia competition this year.
Please note - this is a training programme with a focus on learning through immersion in the rehearsal and performance process. This programme is suitable for university/conservatoire students - above all, candidates should be keen to learn. The size of the orchestra is that of a chamber orchestra.
The operatic programme for 2023 includes: Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), La Traviata (Verdi) and La Cenerentola (Rossini).
