Resources Assistant

Primary Job Purpose
As part of the Resource team, assist with the organisation & management of the Berkshire Music Trust’ instrument stock.
Music Trust’ primary customers include parents, children, schools, wider community music & Early Years’ groups

Principle Duties:
A Full & Clean driving licence is essential. Assist with delivery/collections of instruments and other musical equipment to and from music centre’s/schools on a weekly basis.
Move and handle instruments appropriately when loading and unloading delivery vehicles. This role requires regular physical activity and involves manual handling and working from height including the use of ladders.

Working with colleagues to facilitate the provision of project instruments, according to school Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Maintaining and repairing instruments at basic level (training provided).
Ensuring all instruments are stored correctly and securely in appropriate cupboards and storage areas, keeping teaching rooms and public spaces clear whenever practicable.
Assisting with the administration of the online shop.
Assisting with the running of the music library.
Acting as back up to other Resources Team members.

Promote & safeguard the welfare of all pupils and service users within the Berkshire Music Trust, raising any concerns in accordance with Music Trust protocols and procedures.
You have a duty to take care of your own health and safety & that of others who may be affected by your actions at work. You must co-operate with employers & co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements
