In its first 20 seasons, the orchestra has gained worldwide recognition for its performances of classical masterworks and its dedication to premiering new compositions, with a strong emphasis on works by Thai composers.

In 2022, the Thailand Phil made history as the first Thai orchestra to tour Europe, receiving standing ovations in Budapest, Ljubljana, and Wrocław. The orchestra has also performed throughout Thailand, Southeast Asia, Japan, and New Zealand.
The Thailand Phil operates in close partnership with Mahidol University College of Music, with a mission to set a standard of excellence through world-class concerts and educational initiatives. The orchestra has performed with renowned conductors and soloists, including Kahchun Wong, Carl St.Clair, Sergei Nakariakov, and Boston Brass, broadening its international presence with tours across Asia, New Zealand, and Europe.
