Violoncello masterclass with Jean-Guihen Queyras

The international violoncello masterclass with Jean-Guihen Queyras will be held from August 24 until August 28, 2026 in rooms of the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata.
This masterclass gives young cellists the opportunity to develop their musical and technical skills whilst also assisting them in reaching their personal goals, such as preparation for competitions and auditions. Through a small group of a maximum of four students, the festival is cultivating an inspiring and friendly environment for the best possible development of each musician. Each active participant will have the chance to present a work at the final concert of the violoncello masterclass, which will be held in Kalamata.
Requirements for the application:
• Videos of two contrasting pieces representing your current level.
• Age limit of 30 years.
Active participation in the masterclass is only possible after applying through the website and subsequent admission by the violoncello tutor.
