The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra has established a prominent place in Dutch musical life since its foundation in 1945. Together with the Netherlands Radio Choir, the orchestra received the Concertgebouw Prize
in September 2017, emphasizing the quality of both ensembles once again.
In the Dutch music scene, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra distinguishes itself through specially programmed symphonic concerts and has also distinguished itself remarkably with concertante opera performances and Dutch music. First performances in the Netherlands and world premieres are an important part of the repertory. A number of performances - often world premieres - have been released on CD.

Date audition:
The preliminary audition will be held on Monday September 16, 2024 at 9.30 am in Muziekcentrum van de Omroep, Studio 5, Hilversum, The Netherlands. The final audition will be held on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at 12.30 pm in Muziekcentrum van de Omroep, Studio 5, Hilversum, The Netherlands.
The preliminary audition will take place behind a screen. After the preliminary audition, it will be determined who will advance to the final audition.
The mandatory audition repertoire list:
• W.A. Mozart violin concerto, 1st Movt with cadenza, to choose from: nr. 3 in G, KV216 or nr. 4 in D,
KV218 or nr. 5 in A, KV219;
• 1st Movt without cadenza of a violin concerto of Brahms, Tchaikovsky or Sibelius;
• Orchestral parts.
Applications will be accepted up to and including July 5, 2024.
We reserve the right to make a first selection based on the application letters. Stichting Omroep Muziek adheres
