Phion Heersink Academy
The Phion Heersink Academy (new from August 2025) is the bridge between your education and the professional world of music. In this first year, four musicians will be invited to join our Academy. Our academy members will work with renowned conductors, soloists and experienced musicians. If selected, this is your ticket to work on symphonic, opera, educational and chamber music productions across Phion's diverse range. In addition to the artistic experience you will gain, you will be able to take part in audition training with mental coaching, as well as masterclasses and workshops. Call it a complete and valuable next step on your way to a successful career as a professional musician.
Position
The vacancy is for the position of Academist Violin, Viola, Oboe or Flute.
As a member of our orchestra you will regularly rehearse and perform in Arnhem and Enschede, and perform throughout Gelderland, Overijssel and beyond.
Profile
-You are not older than 27 years of age on 1 September 2025.
-You should preferably have completed your Master's degree at a conservatory, but it is also possible to apply if you will be in the second year of your Master's degree by September 2025.
-You must be a citizen of a European Union country plus Norwey, Island, Liechtenstein or Switserland. Or are already in the possession of a valid Dutch work permit.
-You will be available for a minimum of ten weeks to participate in various productions that reflect Phion's programming.
