We announce a vacancy for 1st violin sub principal!
We seek an excellent violinist with experience of chamber music and orchestral work, including readiness to perform also soloist material. Good co-operation and communication skills are required. The job includes travelling and variying work schedules.
We offer an outstanding work environment and colleagues, own rehearsal room, and a versatile repertoire from chamber music to the grand pieces of orchestral literature. Our venues range from Lapland to other places in Finland and abroad.
Closing date for applications is Monday 14th April at 3 pm (Finnish time).
Applications must be sent to Lapland Chamber Orchestra, Korundi House, Lapinkävijäntie 4, 96100 Rovaniemi, Finland or by email to koesoitot-auditions@rovaniemi.fi.
Personal contact details and CV must be included in the application. Applicants are also required to mention if the orchestra's pianist is needed.
Kindly note that the orchestra may interview the applicant.
Audition requirements
W. A. Mozart: Violin Concerto no 3 G major KV 216 OR no 4 D major KV 218 OR no 5 A major KV 219, 1. movement with cadenza.
The audition excerpts will be sent via e-link once the application is received.
The audition is held on Saturday 3rd May 2025 at Korundi House of Culture, add. Lapinkävijäntie 4, 96100 Rovaniemi.
Post commencing at the earliest from 1st of August or based on an agreement. There is a trial period of six months for the post. The chosen candidate must present a medical certificate.
