The Opera Australia Orchestra seeks an outstanding musician to fill the permanent position of Associate Principal Viola.
Audition date: Tuesday 14 October 2025

Audition repertoire requirements
1st Round
Stamitz Concerto in D, Op.1,1st movement and cadenza OR
Hoffmeister Concerto in D,1st movement and cadenza
2nd Round
Walton Concerto,1st movement OR
Bartok Concerto,1st movement OR
Hindemith ‘Der Schwanendreher’,1st movement
Orchestral excerpts
Provided from Tuesday 19 August
Remuneration package
Starting from $117,443 including superannuation and base allowances
Residency requirements
This position is open to Australian and New Zealand Citizens and Australian Permanent Residents only
