I’m selling my beautiful violin by Paul Knorr 1959, a copy of 1710 Tononi.
Paul Knorr was an acclaimed violin maker in Markneukirchen during the 20th century.
It’s a stunning example of Paul Knorr’s craftsmanship, with a two-piece back.
Powerful, full sound, with a lot of colour and detail.
It has recently had a full service done at Florian Leonhard’s Fine Violins, including varnishing.
It’s been included in Florian Leonhard’s catalogue of the finest examples of Knorr’s work (photos attached).
Used for many years by a professional violinist for solo, chamber music and orchestra concerts and recordings.
