Violin Bow:
English Violin Bow by Keith Sleeman, 2024
Prezzo: £5000
This bow is looking for its first owner! Octagonal and mounted in silver, with a length of 745.5mm and a weight of 61.4g. This is very attractive clean work. Beautiful and luminous pernambuco used, paired with a silver faceplate at the head.
The bow draws both a deep tone from the strings, and crisply articulates vertical action such as spiccato/staccato. The weight is very evenly distributed with no weak spots anywhere - and in fact the top third of the stick feels reinforced with more strength than most bows!
Keith Sleeman has been making bows for more than 40 years now, having started at the age of 16 and later trained under the W.E. Hill & Sons maker Malcolm Taylor.
Keith's bows are owned by soloists such as Mischa Maisky as well as top-orchestral players in the London Philharmonic and Boston Symphony Orchestras.
This bow comes with a free rehair and any desired cosmetic work.
