This viola by Colin Cross is modelled on the important Milanese maker Giovanni Grancino, with a length of 42.0cm or 16 5/8″ and comfortable proportions
This viola is in exceptional condition and presentation. Last owned for many years by a top UK violist, the setup has been recently maintained to be of highest standards for professional playing
This viola has a lovely amount of both dark and tenor tone, and the right response to deliver it
Colin Cross’s work is incredibly popular amongst players. He graduated from the Newark School of Violin making in 1986 and has been based in locations such as Cheshire, Deal, and now currently North Scotland
