Accompanist

Opera North is England’s national opera company in the North and one of Europe’s leading arts organisations. Its’ Learning & Engagement team works with professional artists to deliver opera related participative arts and family performance activity by, with and for people of all ages across the north of England each year; this includes activity which supports children and young people to develop beyond first access choral and instrumental provision.

An opportunity has arisen within the Learning & Engagement team for a fulltime Accompanist to support the delivery of In Harmony Opera North and the Young Musicians Studio.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable high level of musical skill and technical proficiency on the piano as well as an ability to work effectively with people from a range of backgrounds and professional contexts. This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

Salary: £25,240 per annum
