The Erich Bergel International Conducting Competition in Romania has named Davide Trolton its first prize winner.

The competition, which was held from April 8- 12, also saw Yagüe Jorge win second prize and Zhuo Xiao win third prize.

The orchestra prizes saw one scholarship offered by Ibolya Bergel in memory of M° Erich Bergel to a Hungarian Erdélyi Dániel. Meanwhile, the scholarship offered by Ibolya Bergel in memory of M° Erich Bergel went to Rumanian participant Stănculescu Andrei.

Finally, the last scholarship offered by Reinhard Bergel in memory of M° Erich Bergel went to Park Keuntae, who also won the orchestra prize.
