Thousands of young musicians came to Debrecen from all over the world, representing more than 50 nations in the past. Besides individual mastercourses, orchestral and chamber music workshops, furthermore additional courses contribute to the participiants’ artistic development. The location of the event is the campus of Debrecen University, which is situated in Nagyerdő (Great Forest), a touristic sight of Debrecen. At the end of the Academy we provide certificates of the courses completed and credits obtained. Professional and student musicians spend a week playing chamber music together in a beautiful house. There are two grand pianos, one in the small concert hall onsite. Teaching everyday will be qualified and trainee Alexander teachers who are keen to deepen their way of working with musicians – They will be guided by Judith Kleinman and Peter Buckoke, two of the most experienced teachers in this field. All participants will receive individual attention and coaching from Judith and Peter. Optional evening activities will include, films, discussions, a poetry evening, learning to juggle etc. The outdoor swimming pool will be available at all times (to be safe, there must be two or more swimmers).
