It has variously been looked after by Roger Dawson and Laurence Dixon over the years, with a fairly new adjustable bridge from Laurence. Currently has some Evah Pirazzi Weich strings but I can also give you some old Belcanto solo strings if you wish - this bass sounds incredible in solo tuning. The neck was broken by British Airways around 2010 and was repaired by Sam Wells when he was working with Roger - you can see the very substantial dowel in the fingerboard. It plays evenly throughout and has a very powerful resonate sound especially in the lower range. It is fitted with a removable C Extension with capos by Ben Taylor who has also done all the set up work on this bass. Although it has been primarily my practice bass, I have used it at work with the BSO where it has been remarked that it blends and keeps up with the section.
