This course is aimed at those working in music education, or training to do so, and is also suitable for those looking for a solid technical grounding who may not yet have sufficient experience for Masterclasses 1-4. There are three workshops in October, February, and May, giving the opportunity for structured growth. We begin with Derbyshire County Wind Band, one of the leading youth wind bands in the UK. In February we explore specifics of working with strings, winds, and brass with small ensembles of RNCM students. The May workshop is with orchestras and ensembles from Junior RNCM. Use is made of our ConductIT online resource and video review of the participants conducting activity takes place during the course.
