The first classical music festival in Vitoria and Álava in fifteen years, and the first event to combine masterclasses, innovative programs, and multidisciplinary concerts in nineteen years. Nineteen years working with and for young people, attracting musicians from all over the world and audiences from different parts of Europe.

This summer we once again invite teachers of international prestige to teach and perform in some of the most emblematic buildings in the city, the beautiful Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The aim of the Course is to give the opportunity to music students to widen and improve their practical and theoretical skills through participating in a specific, intensive programme of work consisting in individual and group lessons. The course is intended for students from the last intermediate level course, for those from any course of the higher level, post graduate students.

20th Ervin Schiffer International Music Master Classes Tata

Since 2007, under the professional and artistic direction of violinist Katalin Sebestyén and violist Ervin Schiffer († 2014), as well as renowned Hungarian and international professors, we have been organizing international masterclasses every summer, attracting young musicians and music students from many European countries and overseas.
The masterclass is characterized by a continuous focus on chamber music, alongside instruction in solo violin, viola, cello, and piano. In addition, we provide participants with numerous performance opportunities in various settings, including as part of the Tata Baroque Festival program.
The 20th anniversary Ervin Schiffer International Music Master Classes will be held this year from August 11–22, 2026, in Tata, Hungary.
I invite all interested music lovers to explore the information and photos available on our website. We warmly welcome and invite everyone to Tata, the beautiful city of Water, Music, and Flowers.
