Built in 2021, this violin has a very old spruce top, a one-piece flamed maple back and hand-applied oil varnish in a warm golden-brown antique finish. The antiquing is detailed and convincing, with a grown, natural character rather than the appearance of a freshly built instrument.

The sound is warm, settled and singing, with an open, sonorous character, easy response and good carrying quality. It feels comfortable under the bow and should be interesting for advanced players, students or professionals looking for a violin with depth, elegance and character.

A strong option for players seeking the character of an older violin without the usual price level.

Professionally set up with new Larsen Virtuoso strings.
