Polstjärnepriset is divided into two periods. Besides individual mastercourses, orchestral and chamber music workshops, furthermore additional courses contribute to the participiants’ artistic development. San Donato is on the list of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages and offers the possibility to experience life in a picturesque Tuscany village.&#13;
Chianti in Musica 2026 will feature courses in flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, and choir from 23 to 29 August.&#13;
The courses consist of one individual lesson per day and promote the formation of chamber groups. All teachers are internationally renowned and teach at Italian conservatories and international academies. A piano accompanist is also present. The choir course is open to musicians and amateurs, even without musical knowledge.&#13;
Student concerts are held in the Gothic church every day in the late afternoon.&#13;

All academy members are responsible for securing themselves to cover all costs of their stay, such as travel expenses to/from Ostrava, accommodation for the whole period of stay, per diems, insurance, concert clothing, etc. &#13;

Trainees will gain hands-on orchestral experience in one of the leading Czech orchestras, taking part in most of the orchestra performances (subscription concerts, touring projects both locally and internationally). Trainees shall receive mentoring by the principal players of the orchestra.&#13;
