It is in very good condition, considering its age, and has a very tight mechanic with comfortable keywork. I did have the high E key remade to fit my hands, but it has not been silver plated. Ultimately, the instrument is a bit too small for my taste (which is a plus if you want a lighter/smaller instrument). I can ship the instrument with its original Yamaha case, a backpack Kolbl case, and it’s two original bocals, hand crutch, balance hanger, and a swab. I have played this instrument during my Bachelor and Master studies. It blends very well with other instruments and works perfectly in orchestra. I have been using it during my academy in a german orchestra, as well as in many other professional orchestras. A truly special instrument with a warm, sweet and very personal sound that has always inspired me. I’m selling it after I found a very nice Heckel bassoon. I hope that the next person who plays it can bring out all its wonderful qualities.
