Lorenzo Cinquepalmi is a graduate of the Milanese academy under Luca Primon. The dimensions (scale length) are standard. A full-size cello with good playability and a slender neck, which relieves strain on the left hand when fingering. The model is custom-designed, but with slight modifications, it is based on the Stradivari model. The braces are slightly wider than on the original. The impeccably cut f-holes, with a slightly more individualized design, are slightly shallow. I am now passing on this wonderful instrument, which I have used professionally, to a younger generation. I hope it will be played extensively and accompany its new player for many years, opening up new musical possibilities.
