This cello is a prime example of the high quality of modern Italian violin making. Crafted in 2017 by Lorenzo Cinquepalmi, a member of the modern Milanese school. Lorenzo Cinquepalmi is a graduate of the Milanese academy under Luca Primon.
The dimensions (scale length) are standard. A full-size cello with good playability and a slender neck, which relieves strain on the left hand when fingering. The model is custom-designed, but with slight modifications, it is based on the Stradivari model. The braces are slightly wider than on the original. The impeccably cut f-holes, with a slightly more individualized design, are slightly shallow.
I am now passing on this wonderful instrument, which I have used professionally, to a younger generation. I hope it will be played extensively and accompany its new player for many years, opening up new musical possibilities.
I am not a dealer, but a private individual and professional musician, and I know the value of this cello.

Cello by Maciej Łacek (Poland, 2014) – Certified contemporary instrument

For sale: cello (4/4) by Polish luthier Maciej Lacek, made in 2014, with certificate.

It's in good condition. It was valued in 2014 by J P Guivier for insurance purposes at £60,000. Guivier considered it to be by Lockey Hill and to be "in a good state of preservation". Rod Ward saw it in 1982 and wrote 'In my opinion:- this cello is by Lockey Hill, and bears its original label dated Islington 1790. LOB 29"'. I have his written assessment. There is a Hill number on the fingerboard so it must have been in the Hill workshop at some point in its life. It has a sweet tone, good resonance, and a variety of colour in the sound.

International Conducting Master Class — Sebastian Lang-Lessing

We are pleased to invite you to apply for the International Master Class for Orchestral Conducting, led by the internationally acclaimed German conductor Sebastian Lang-Lessing (General Music Director: Theater Hagen) and the Hungarian National Symphony Orchestra Szeged.
