The cello has been certified by Vatelot-Rampal in 2020.
I‘ve played on this instrument for about 15 years and performed a lot on it (solo and chamber music performances, exams, competitions etc.)
It has a beautiful warm and round sound that always carried without problems.
The pictures show a baroque setup but the cello currently has a modern setup (as I had always played on) and can be tried out in Wuppertal (near Düsseldorf/Köln), possibly also Stuttgart or Munich.

Magnificient cello ca. 1780

This magnificent and extremely beautiful cello dates from ca.1780 and is in excellent overall and perfect playing condition. The sound is just amazing. It’s deep, sonorous, colourful and so extremely powerful it will fill any hall.Very attractive oil varnish and a back that is just something else with those beautiful flames all across. The instrument measures 73cm so it’s very comfortable to play and it’s typical example of the golden era of cello making and just an absolutely fantastic instrument.

Audition for the opera orchestra for the position: Section Cellist, tutti, 0.5 part-time

Audition for the opera orchestra for the position: Section Cellist, tutti, 0.5 part-time

Victor Thomassin French bow

A fine and responsive silver-mounted cello bow by Victor Thomassin, branded ‘T. The cello has been valued at £4,500 by both Peter Hall Violins and Kevin George at The Violin Shop, in Poulton-le-Fylde (who can also vouch for its condition). With the case and bows included, this is an extremely good value package price.
