Over this year-long course, students explore each family of instruments from most uniform to most diverse, beginning with the brass and string families in the fall and voice, percussion, and woodwind families in the spring.&#13;

Two proposals will be selected and awarded commissions: one work for an ensemble of up to 6 performers (€2,000) and one for an ensemble of up to 4 performers (€1,500). Each composer may submit one representative work. Registration is free. Open to composers of any age and nationality, the competition features two categories: (1) works for solo accordion or chamber music including accordion (up to 4 performers, max. 10 minutes, composed after January 2022); and (2) pedagogical chamber works for students aged 6 to 18. The first prize includes €2,000 and publication, with a premiere at the next edition’s Gala. In the pedagogical category, the selected composer will receive an €1100 commission to create a new accordion ensemble piece (up to 5 voices), to be premiered at the Topakord Meeting. Scores must be anonymous and submitted digitally via the official form by September 25, 2026. Participation is free of charge. The submitted works must satisfy the following criterion:&#13;
• Orchestration (max.): 2 violins, viola, cello, piano,&#13;
tenor or soprano. Works whose instrumentation includes other instruments will not be taken into account for the competition.&#13;
&#13;
The winner will be awarded a prizeof 150 euros and a “project pass” for the complete realization of a personal musical marketing. Scodo accounts are awarded to the best composers. A special prize is awarded to compositions inspired by the Risorgimento period in Italy.&#13;

Deadline for submissions is July 30th, 2026. The results will be announced on August 10th, 2026.&#13;

Il concorso, aperto a compositori di qualsiasi nazionalità e cittadinanza e senza limiti d’età propone: &#13;
a) La realizzazione di una composizione per soprano solista, quintetto d’archi (2 violini viola, violoncello e contrabbasso), Clavicembalo oppure Organo ispirato dal CANTICO DELLE CREATURE di San Francesco d’Assisi (Assisi 1181/1182 - 3 ottobre 1226) presente nell’allegato A, della durata massima di 10 minuti. &#13;
