The Music Department is well resourced and, as such, there are many opportunities to support extra­curricular activities through additional group coaching and to accompany concerts and pupils at the direction of the Head of Music and Head of Choirs, Ensembles and Performances.&#13;
VMTs are contracted by the Head of Music and Head of Choirs, Ensembles and Performances. They are responsible to the Head of Music and Head of Choirs, Ensembles and Performances, in all matters relating to performance, ensembles and pupil progress.&#13;
The VMT will be an outstanding teacher with a passion for inspiring our youngest musicians to perform to the highest possible standard, as well as being an active performer in their own right.&#13;
VMTs are self-employed and invoice parents directly each term. They are expected to communicate with parents to arrange lessons, organise payment and report on progress. The appointment is in addition to the current VMTs teaching over half of the pupils at Newton Prep.&#13;

The slightly longer body length is 36cm, upper width 16.6cm middle width 11.3cm, lower width 20.5cm. Belly stop 19,5cm. The top made of two pieces and features very fine to medium-wide annual rings. The back is a single piece with lively, fine flames. The ribs are made of regular deep flames. All parts of the violin belong together and are original. The varnish is also original and well preserved throughout.&#13;
The violin's sound is very balanced in all areas, responds easily and has a good carrying tone. Through individual lessons, participants will experience the musical atmosphere and teaching spirit that have characterised the Academy since its foundation by Yehudi Menuhin.&#13;

Selected participants may be invited to audition for admission to the Academy’s three-year full-time programme of study.
