Italian Opera LAb

Italian Opera LAb is a nonprofit educational initiative dedicated to the art of Italian opera and the training of emerging singers. Developed in collaboration with the Opera Festival of Chicago and the Italian Studies Program at CSUN, the program offers an immersive experience in Italian repertoire, style, and language.The masterclass will take place in Los Angeles, March 10–13, 2026, at the Westside Music Conservatory, bringing young artists the opportunity to work closely with experienced Italian professionals. Participation is free of charge for selected singers, with only a fully refundable fee upon completion of the program, made possible through donor support & fundraising efforts. Participants will also be connected to an exclusive panel event at The Soraya celebrating the 125th anniversary of Verdi’s death, the central role of the Italian language in opera, and the recognition of Italian opera singing as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage - hello@italianoperalab.com
