Double Bass Summer Course Harz/Germany 2024

The program is dedicated to aspiring musicians of varied ages. The course of studies incorporates double bass lessons, including accompaniment, chamber music and final concert.
The class takes place in a holiday home including meals, based in a famous tranquil town Braunlage/Harz, which adds an extra inspiration to practice.

Takanari Koyama is Principal Double Bass with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra and has held the position since 2013. He has worked with many of the finest orchestras and played as a guest principal with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, Royal Northern Sinfonia and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.

Takanari regularly appears as a soloist and has won numerous prizes. His solo performances with the orchestras include, Bottesini's concerto in f sharp minor, in b minor, grande allegro alla Mendelssohn, Dittersdorf's concerto.
He regularly gives master classes and teaches double bass at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
