International auditions are scheduled for June 12-13, 2026

The 2026/27 forty-three week season includes a minimum weekly scale fee of $2,529.77. Five of these weeks are paid non-service weeks, with one additional vacation week.

Other benefits: Long-term disability insurance, sick leave, 10% CFM-Musicians Pension Fund of Canada contribution.

Application Process

All applications shall be through Muvac. The process involves creating a free account and adding your resume details to your profile. When you submit your TSO audition application, you will be prompted to submit valid credit card information for a $100 (CDN) refundable application deposit. Your card will only be charged in the case of a no-show or a cancellation after the confirmation deadline.

Please note, applicants may be required to submit a supplementary recording as part of their application. Those applicants who are required to submit a recording will be informed shortly after the application deadline.

IMPORTANT: HOTELS FOR JUNE 12-13

Due to the World Cup games in Toronto, hotel and travel to Toronto will be very expensive. We suggest you reserve a refundable hotel room as soon as your application is in, because prices will only rise. Prices around the airport are currently reasonable and it is a quick train ride to Roy Thomson Hall. Additionally, we recommend connecting with Tuba colleagues to share accommodations. If you receive an invitation to this audition and want to be connected with other invited tubists to share accommodation, we can help facilitate.
