Jönköpings Sinfonietta seeks to appoint First Violin Tutti and Second Violin Tutti for a varied repertoire with everything from symphonic music to stage productions and chamber music. With us, you get to collaborate with leading conductors and soloists in a creative environment at Kulturhuset Spira.

Role as Violin Tutti

Jönköpings Sinfonietta offers full-time and permanent employment for two (2) successful applicants.

There will be a trial period of one year before a position is offered permanently.

Please note: Jönköping Sinfonietta will decide in which section the applicants will be placed for trial, after the final round.

Your Future Workplace

Jönköping Sinfonietta is a dynamic orchestra of 31 musicians and an integral part of Kulturhuset Spira, a vibrant performing arts center. Kulturhuset Spira presents symphonic music, opera, musical theatre, spoken theatre, dance productions, concerts, and performances for children and young audiences, as well as chamber music. We collaborate with internationally renowned conductors, soloists, directors, and choreographers.

Since 2023, Johannes Gustavsson is the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Jönköpings Sinfonietta.

Our main venue is the concert hall at Kulturhuset Spira, which has fantastic acoustics. We also tour on regular basis in the Region of Jönköping.

Application and audition

The last day for applying is the 2nd August 2026. Applicants are welcome to apply via the link below.

The audition will take place over two days, 3rd and 4th of September 2026.

Repertoire

Round 1. Mozart: Violin Concerto No 4 or 5, 1st mvt without cadenza
Round 2. Romantic concert (Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius or Tchaikovsky) with cadenza
Round 3: Mozart: String Quartet No 17, 1st mvt

During the ensemble piece all applicants will play the violin 2 part.
