Preis: € 10.900.‒
Update of 6/4/2025: 15% price reduction, i.e., sale at cost inclusive of new authenticity certificate.

Superb, versatile master bow in a fine state of preservation, made by Philipp Paul NÜRNBERGER (1882‒1946), Franz Albert junior's elder son.

Its octagonal stick’s strength and flexibility ‒ on a par with French bows valued 2-3 times as much, according to several unbiased pro cellists ‒ facilitate effortless, virtuoso handling, tonal brilliance and mighty sound projection.

Renowned experts in the field of German bows of the 19th and early 20th century (Klaus Grünke, Hieronymus Köstler, Mathias Wohlleber, Benjamin Schröder, et al.) agree that, in terms of craftsmanship, Philipp Paul's bows ‒ particularly those of his early period, of which this bow is an exquisite specimen ‒ are often superior to those of his celebrated father.
