1942 Gibson J-35
Stolen: 01 Jul 2026 - Amsterdam
Beschreibung des Instruments:
This 1942 Gibson J-35 is a pre-war flat-top acoustic dreadnought guitar in natural/blonde finish. It features an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a tortoiseshell-style pickguard, open-back Kluson-style tuners, and a banner-era Gibson script logo on the headstock. The guitar has no pickup and is fully acoustic. It was carried in a soft guitar bag at the time of the theft.
The guitar belongs to Dutch singer-songwriter Douwe Bob (full name: Douwe Bob Posthuma), who described it as “my most beautiful and cherished guitar — the instrument on which I wrote, recorded and played everything.” The theft was reported to Dutch police on or around 1 July 2026.
If you have any information about this guitar, or if it is offered for sale anywhere, please contact Douwe Bob’s management immediately.
