Elizabeth Loker International Concerto Competition

The Mid-Atlantic Symphony is pleased to announce its fifth annual Elizabeth Loker International Concerto Competition. This international concerto competition is open to musicians, ages 12 to 25, from around the world. Three finalists will have the opportunity to perform live with the full MSO Orchestra providing a unique experience among leading concerto competitions. This competition will bring together gifted musicians, each vying for the chance to captivate audiences with their individual talents and artistic expression. The symphony's commitment to excellence ensures that the selected finalists will be provided with a world-class platform to showcase their talent.

Eligibility

The competition is open to musicians between ages 12-25.

December 1, 2025 - Registration Deadline (YouTube link, completed application, and application fee are all due by this date.)

This competition appears to include an online round that charges over €35. musicalchairs is concerned that the fee for online judging must be commensurate with the value offered to applicants whether they are successful or unsuccessful. Please therefore study the guidelines for this competition carefully:

Is the Jury for the online round published and are they widely respected musicians?
Does each Jury member listen to the submissions in full?
Do applicants receive detailed and considered feedback about their complete performance/score from the Jury?
