Cadenza International Summer Music School for Strings and Piano was founded in 1992. Each year an exceptional group of musicians from school age through to undergraduates, postgraduates, teachers, amateurs, and faculty meet for a week and collaborate in a flexible and creative environment.
Solo work and chamber music form the basis of the course. There are performance opportunities and masterclasses throughout the week, as well as side by side staff/student chamber groups. Most students mix solo and chamber music, which is organised in advance. However some prefer to focus exclusively on chamber music, and others on important solo work.
The course is residential at the Purcell School in Bushey, North London, and runs from 18 - 23 July 2026.
