ICA Closing Masterclass & Concert 2026 | Colin Metters | Cardiff
Join the International Conducting Academy for the culmination of our 2026 programme: an intensive eight-day conducting masterclass led by Colin Metters, ICA Senior Tutor and former Head of Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music.
Three preparatory online days (15–17 October) focus on score study, individual consultation and conducting, followed by five intensive days in Cardiff progressing through piano, string quintet and full orchestral sessions. The course culminates in a public concert with professional orchestra Ensemble Cambrica**.
Repertoire:
Mozart – The Marriage of Figaro Overture
Prokofiev – Symphony No. 1, 'Classical'
Beethoven – Symphony No. 3, 'Eroica'
All conducting sessions are video recorded. Places are strictly limited.
