IAYO Orchestral Conducting Workshops

The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras’ annual Orchestral Conducting Workshops will place in MTU Cork School of Music from Monday, 01 July to Friday, 05 July 2024. Led by Course Director Robert Houlihan and Guest Director Geoffrey Spratt.
The course is suitable for beginner to intermediate level conductors working on a mixture of standard repertoire. Places are available for both participants and observers. Observers will take part in baton technique and score preparation along with full participants.
The course is open to conductors of youth orchestras, amateur orchestras, bands, music teachers and music students from Ireland and internationally.
The course fee is €350 for active participants and €200 for observers, payable on acceptance. Ensuite accommodation in shared, self-catering, apartments is available Cork City. Rooms can be booked through IAYO for a fee.
