Salary range $98,027 - $102,676. This position is only open to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents of Australia, or New Zealand Citizens. If applicants are unable to travel to Hobart, the TSO will accept recorded auditions.

Excerpts released for live auditions: Tuesday 15 July 2025, or four weeks prior to a confirmed recording date
Applications close: Tuesday 22 July 2025
Final deadline for recorded submissions: Two days following a confirmed recording date, but no later than Thursday 31 July 2025
Audition date: Tuesday 12 August 2025

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

All set works to be performed with piano accompaniment

- Mozart Oboe Concerto, 1st mvt exposition and cadenza only

AND

- Mozart Oboe Concerto, 2nd mvt plus cadenza

AND

- Strauss Oboe Concerto, 1st mvt up to figure 5

AND

- All orchestral excerpts
