Work samples should also demonstrate the candidate’s skill and ability to lead musicians in a rehearsal setting. Work samples should include, but are not limited to, video recordings of the candidate in rehearsal/performance with an orchestra or musical ensemble. Please submit materials to the AYO Executive Director at: ED@alaskayouthorchestras.org
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Selected applicants may be invited to interview with the search committee, as well as travel to Anchorage to audition with AYO ensembles. AYO would like to invite the successful candidate to take part in the final concert of the 2025-26 Season (May 17, 2026) as their schedule allows, with full position responsibilities to begin July 1, 2026. The new music director will also be invited to participate in audition review and planning for the 2026-27 Season.
