Iceland Symphony Orchestra announces an open position of Tutti Horn.
An audition will take place on 21 February, 2026, at Harpa Concert Hall, Reykjavík.
Application deadline is 10 January 2026.

About the position
This is a full-time (100%) position as a Tutti Horn player in the horn section of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, which consists of five horn players in total. Salary and benefits are subject to wage agreements between the association of ISO players and the Ministry of Finance. A university-level education in instrumental performance is required. Applicants from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) need to apply for a work permit, which is subject to approval by the Association of Icelandic Musicians (FÍH) and the Directorate of Immigration.
About the Orchestra
Founded in 1950, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra is the national orchestra of Iceland. The Iceland Symphony Orchestra employs 88 permanent musicians. The orchestra has, for years, been at the forefront of orchestras in the Nordic countries and has received high praise in reviews for its recordings as well as concerts at home and abroad. The orchestra holds about 100 concerts every year, including subscription concerts with world-renowned conductors and soloists. We are also proud of our ambitious educational work. Each year thousands of students from elementary to secondary level attend concerts.
