Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra have an open position for Low Horn 2. & 4. (100%)
The section of Copenhagen Phil consists of two Principal Horns (section leaders), one 3rd Horn and two Low Horns.
The Audition will take place Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 from 10.00 a.m. at: ‘Konservatoriets Koncertsal‘ Rosenørns Alle 22, 1970 Frederiksberg
REPERTOIRE
1st round:
H. Neuling: Bagatelle
Orchestral excerpts: L.V. Beethoven: Fidelio Ouverture
2nd round:
W. A. Mozart: Horn Concerto no. 2 in E-flat major, K.417; 1st & 2nd Mov.
3rd round:
Orchestral excerpts
4th Round (Optional)
Orchestral excerpts with the section
Candidates must be prepared to submit a YouTube link with recording of: W. A. Mozart: Horn Concerto no. 2 in E-flat major, K.417; 1st mov. until bar 63 & orchestral excerpts: L.V. Beethoven: Fidelio Ouverture and R. Strauss: Don Quixote
Both excerpts and Mozart must be recorded in one take.
Accompanist is optional.
An accompanist will be available at the audition. Applicants are responsible for expenses in connection with both travel and rehearsal.
Salary and conditions of employments negotiable with current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (‘Landsdels Orkestrene’). Employment of non-EU residents is contingent upon the attainment of a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for expenses incurred in the attainment of such permits.

All candidates will receive a result on the application and whether they have been invited directly to the 1st round, must send a YouTube recording, or rejected.
Thursday March 3rd, 2026, deadline for the candidates that were asked to submit a video
Monday March 9th, 2026
YouTube candidates will be informed if they have been invited to the 1st round.
