Second Violin tutti

The auditions will be held on 8th September 2026 at 10.00 AM

Venue: SND new building, Pribinova 17, 819 01 Bratislava

Start date 1st October 2026

Applicants are kindly requested to submit their applications including:

Brief professional CV and a copy of the highest attained degree certificate in Music

(minimum degree requirement is conservatory or – in case of schools outside Slovakia, a degree from a secondary school in a given speciality) , or a certificate of current university studies in a given speciality;

Personal data processing (GDPR) consent (a permit written in the application mail).

Audition repertoire:

• one of the violin concertos (1st mov. with Cadenza and 2nd mov.) by W. A. Mozart:

No 3 in G Major (K 216), No 4 in D Major (K 218), No 5 in A Major (K 219)

• a violin concertos (1st mov. With Cadenza) of free choice or virtuoso piece from the romantic period from the 20th century or one piece from J. S Bach´s works:

Fuga from Sonata: g minor or a minor or C Major or Ciaccona from Partita d minor

• sight reading

Should candidates require a répétiteur to be provided by the SND free of charge, they are kindly asked to submit the score to the above address 2 weeks prior to the audition at the latest. Candidates are also welcome to bring their own piano répétiteur at their own expense.

We offer the winning candidate a starting salary from Euro 1.620 + artistic and personal bonuses + 1-week extra leave in addition to the legally set vacation.
