An absolutely gorgeous Pillemont double bass, made in Paris circa 1800 by renowned French maker François Pillement Père.
This bass sings with a rich, woody, and rounded tone – full but clear, perfect for both classical and jazz players.
String length: 105cm (41.4 inches)
Size: Comfortable to play – not oversized, not too small
Tone: Warm, responsive, and beautifully open

Condition: Excellent for its age – stable and ready to play
It has a carved back and violin corners. The varnish is medium light brown/red colour.
