A 4/4 violin was left on the IR16 train from Aarau to Bern, Switzerland, on February 26, 2026, at approximately 06:45 AM. Instrument details: * Maker: Adolf König, Brienz (Switzerland) * Year: 1994 * Serial number: 223 * Distinctive feature: Hand-carved angel head instead of a traditional scroll * Additional identifying feature: The instrument has a repaired/supported soundpost crack (“Stimmriss”) The violin was inside: * a black violin case * interior lined with dark navy-blue velvet fabric

Instrument details: * Maker: Adolf König, Brienz (Switzerland) * Year: 1994 * Serial number: 223 * Distinctive feature: Hand-carved angel head instead of a traditional scroll * Additional identifying feature: The instrument has a repaired/supported soundpost crack (“Stimmriss”) The violin was inside: * a black violin case * interior lined with dark navy-blue velvet fabric Due to the highly distinctive angel-head carving, this instrument should be immediately recognizable to violin makers, dealers, restorers, musicians, and collectors.
