Talent Development Manager

Opera North is England’s national opera company in the North and one of Europe’s leading arts organisations. Through its Learning & Engagement activity, the Company seeks to encourage people, of all ages and from all walks of life, to explore the art form of opera and the work of Opera North; in doing so it seeks to break down perceived barriers to engagement with the artform. An opportunity has arisen within the Learning & Engagement team for a Talent Development Manager. Responsible for the operational management of Opera North Talent Development activity, the post holder will ensure effective management of the various programmes of work and a high-quality offer to all stakeholders which meets programme aims.

This role also includes line management responsibilities, overseeing the development and support of team members involved in the Talent Development initiatives.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of project management and sector specific experience of managing or supporting professional artists and of overseeing the artistic direction of projects. This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

Salary: £35,000 per annum
