Welcome to the first UIC Barcelona Singing Competition in memory of Conxita Badia, organised by the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) and open to all young lyric singing talents who wish to participate.
This initiative is part of the “Conxita Badia. A Voice for Catalan Culture” research project, directed by lecturer Carolina Estrada of the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Education Sciences and which has the approval and support of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The goal of the project is the transfer of scientific knowledge at both academic and public levels through participation in congresses, educational days and musical activities in Catalonia, culminating in the UIC Barcelona Singing Competition Contest in memory of Conxita Badia. The competition aims to be a unique platform to develop and professionalise the talent of young singers, offering special prizes and paid concert opportunities.
