The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs’ Emerging Soloist Competition is a video submission concerto competition that provides pre-professional musicians an unforgettable opportunity win a $2,000 cash prize and a feature performance on a COS Subscription Series concert.
Applicants must be an undergraduate student, graduate student, or a recent alum (class of 2023, 2024, or 2025 - graduate or undergraduate degree).
Contestants are required to have US citizenship or permanent residency.
The winner receives $2,000 + $500 to charity of your choice, and will perform with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs in the 2026-2027 season. There will be a minimum of one runner-up prize of $500.
The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs believes that ability to pay should not impact someone’s ability to pursue artistic excellence. Therefore, any prospective contestant experiencing financial hardship may request discounted entry via our Affordability Hotline. See our website for more details.
