Composition | Juilliard Extension

In this composition course, student composers refine their writing techniques and artistic intuition. Working with fellow composers, students discuss musical ideas, share and receive feedback, and develop their creative voices.Composition projects may address specific musical challenges and explore a range of instrumentations and ensembles—from solo works to chamber ensembles of six or more players. Students have opportunities to workshop their pieces and hear their music brought to life by Juilliard College Division instrumentalists and vocalists.
