The graduate program in conducting is a small and selective program that prepares students to effectively function in academic and professional settings. Ball State offers a master of music with a major in conducting and a doctor of arts in music with a primary emphasis in conducting. The degree paths offer significant podium time, performance opportunities, teaching opportunities, and masterclasses with guest clinicians. Recent guest clinicians have included Peter Oundjian and Gary Thor Wedow.
