Flute:

Rudall Carte thinned throughout wood flute

Prix: 6750 euros
Rare offering of a thinned cocus-wood Rudall Carte flute of which very few were produced because of their complexity to make and relative expense. Wood and mechanism in lovely condition. Solid silver keywork and mechanism, characteristic footjoint and ball end on thumb key. Plays sweetly yet with authority. The headjoint made of rosewood was commissioned by Roger Rostron of the Hallé Orchestra from John Wicks of Rudall Carte and sits comfortably at A440 to 442.
Recent overhaul.

This flute has a modern 'barrel' that will accept your 'standard' wood or metal headjoint tenon!
Note: the headjoint has a very fine hairline on the opposite side to blow hole. As the headjoint is metal lined this has no effect on sound.
