Teaching Artist/Education Coordinator

The Sioux City Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Teaching Artist/Education Coordinator to support beginning and intermediate students in the region, and to teach private/group lessons to beginning and intermediate students in the future Gilchrist Music Education Center and local schools.

The ideal SCSO Teaching Artist is an expert on their instrument, has experience working with large groups of students (both beginners and advanced), has experience in classroom management, and can communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and the Sioux City Symphony staff. The Teaching Artist/Education Coordinator will oversee the scheduling of SCSO musicians teaching in area schools and in the future Gilchrist Music Education Center. This position can work remotely some days.
