Chetham’s School of Music are seeking an Practice Assistant (Keyboard) to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in Manchester city centre. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester.
The Job
We are looking for experienced musicians to support students during their practice time. We are seeking people with the following characteristics:
Specialist musician with high-level performance experience on piano and/or other keyboard instruments.
University/Conservatoire graduate (or equivalent experience).
Highly motivated and dependable.
Keen to work with young people and contribute to a department with a creative and individualised pedagogical ethos.
Enthusiastic about pursuing continued professional learning within a community of colleagues.
Hours are approximately 12 hours per week, term-time only. Hours may vary according to the School’s needs, year-on-year.

Hourly rate £17.21 per hour.
