Engage Coordinator

£25,433 - £28,081 p/year
The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is seeking a dedicated Engage Coordinator to join its dynamic Junior Programmes department. The College is looking for a proactive, organised administrator who enjoys working effectively with young people, parents and staff. Candidates should have prior experience in an administrative support role and working with young people.
This role is integral to supporting a range of music education initiatives, including:
• RNCM Engage West Cumbria: provides sustainable opportunities for music education for young people in West Cumbria, funded by the Benny Walker Charitable Trust.
• Engage Brass: provides local primary schools with the opportunity to learn a brass instrument.
• Young Artists: our Saturday Junior Pop programme, supported by the Sony Social Justice Foundation.
• Young Projects: a selection of free, open access workshops for rare-breed instruments.
• Pathfinder: enables talented young musicians aged 8 -18 to overcome financial, social and cultural barriers to progressing their musical talent.
This role is a three and a half year fixed-term contract based at the RNCM and is suitable for blended working. Although supporting the work in Cumbria, and there may be occasional visits, it is not expected that the role-holder will need to routinely travel to Cumbria for work.
